I assume that it is OK to disable this service. The reason is because it is creating havoc with my work connections on my BYO hardware as it keeps on thinking that AGV is trying to make a man in the middle attack.

Hi Wari,
We're glad to look into this & help you.
Please let us know the operating system & AVG version installed on your computer.
To check the AVG version : Open AVG program - Menu - About.
Also, clarify since when you noticed the presence of 'wsc.proxy.exe service' & share us the screenshot of the services window that shows the dependencies for better clarity.
According to (https://www.file.net/process/wsc_proxy.exe.html)
"Wsc_proxy.exe runs a process that redirects all Avast Internet traffic through a proxy service."
Furthermore,
"The .exe extension on a filename indicates an executable file. Executable files may, in some cases, harm your computer. Therefore, please read below to decide for yourself whether the wsc_proxy.exe on your computer is a Trojan that you should remove, or whether it is a file belonging to the Windows operating system or to a trusted application."
Windows Service process called "AvgWscReporter" which has no description itself, require following dependencies:
1- Remote Procedure Call
DCOM Server Process Launcher
RPC Endpoint Mapper
Amazingly, wsc_proxy.exe was not showing on Task Manager before I updated my AVG internet Security software. Mean Officially being installed and activated by AVG itself through update.
What the hell is going on here? Why suddenly it is so much necessary to activate a back end proxy connection to AVG server through remote procedure call when the whole product was working undoubtedly fine?
Somebody Enlighten me please.

Hello Wari. Thank you for your time and effort to communicate with AVG. My name is Shawn and I am writing to you on behalf of the AVG Senior Support team.
I can confirm this reported, wsc_proxy.exe, is the intended behavior of the program.
More specifically, wsc_proxy.exe, is a component responsible for communication with Windows Security Center / Action Center.
It was a service process (with automatic startup) on Windows 10 only. Now, it is a service process for all supported operating systems, including Windows 7.
This change was necessary because of the expiration of MS cross signing certificates. This process executable must fulfill special signature requirements to be able to register/communicate with Windows Security Center.
I trust this explanation clarifies your concern. Regards, Shawn
