Whatever happened to my 5-1-16 trial?

Do you mean that the 30 day trial of AVG program got expired in one day?

Hi, I wanted to test your AV and yesterday: 5-1-16 I got a 30-day trial.  Today, 5-2-16 it's telling me the trial has expired!!! 

I made a screenshot of this "expiration" announcement…  May I send it to you?  Thanks.   Rosedala

Thank you for the confirmation.
If the trial expires before the date of expiry then it means that you have already installed the trial version before on the PC.
This is the reason you got the trial version expired in one day.

Over a decade I had AVG Home, the free version.  What would this have to do with my wanting to try the professional version?

Please be informed that AVG trial version can be installed only once in single pc and it cannot be installed again. You might have installed the trial version of AVG already in your pc and that is the reason you are unable to install the trial version back in your pc. Thank you for understanding.
