I understand how difficult this is for you. The latest version of AVG has many new features added which provides additional protection for computer. Regarding the campaign pop-up for other products. We have an in app option to stop this pop-ups from AVG.
Please open AVG Internet Security installed in your computer, click on Menu->Settings->General->Pop-up. From here uncheck the option "Show campaign pop-up for other AVG products".
We can promise you that AVG is improving day by day and will sure meet your expectations.
This is precisely what i mean if AVG dont inspire confidence in their product people will just go elsewhere…take note AVG…

What's gone wrong with AVG? we have been selling AVG products for 12 years and made some good money from it. AVG has always been an excellent piece of software that's just done the job but recently we spend more time removing it from customers PCs as it just has to many issues. We also have issue that it keeps trying to sell other products which it very unprofessional Sorry but we've had to stop selling AVG and have moved to another product.
Mark, i almost did the same thing because of the frequent popups that you could not disable along with the other problems it was having, but it appears they may have fixed that bug because mine has been working pretty well for the last month. I had almost begun to try Kaspersky.
I hear you Mark, I'm thinking along the same lines. Currently experimenting with a competing product with a Russian sounding name and am getting better results. No matter what I do, still getting upsale popups.
