Using Update Now from the task bar dialogue box, it says I'm up to date. Including the main GUI
However, the yellow exclamation mark is still there and in the AVG Free main panel
it is green on the web, Identity and email indicators, but on "Computer" it is a red circle
saying 'update required' some components needs update. So I go through the motions again and again…  no change. So what's up? It seems to be arguing with itself. Are these components not downloading?

i have the same "problem" … the reason: the virus definitions … according to the AVG homepage, the latest version of virus definitions is aug 14th (15883) … no update since then … and now, after 1 week, the AVG program says "update necessary" with yellow exclamation mark on "computer" … but there is no update.

does anyone know the reaso why AVG didn't update their virus definitions such a long time ??

I see what's going on, they've altered th GUI AGAIN!!! AND IT SEEMS THEY DROPPED IDENTITY PROTECTION IN THE NEW VERSION!!!
