Thanks. Hmmm, did the above and when I got to instruction "3" I did the "logout" then "remove license" and it shows "Expires 2/13/19"! But I upgraded to the usual 2 years just yesterday. Apparently I was auto enrolled during the past few weeks but the software kicked me over to the "free trial". The Free Trial timed out yesterday and THAT finally notified me I had to upgrade, which I did for two years which shows up now in my account. So, please delete and credit my payment for the one year auto-enroll AVG did from a few week ago, or delete and credit me for yesterday's two year plan. I will try the above steps again when I can do the required re-boot when the PC is not currently busy. BTW thanks for the speedy reply.
After 11 years of using AVG, I find your upgrade procedure annoyingly tedious. I have been enrolled in the auto upgrade for years when I received notification my credit card would be charged the usual bill for AVG. On 2/18/2018 my AVG popped up saying my "temporary" use of AVG was up! So, I immediately began a 4 hour ordeal of DLing whatever (how 'bout a clearer product lable that stays with prior product names and versions?), and STILL have a "temporary" Internet Security good 'till this March, 18! I payed (maybe twice?) for a two year plan (as I have for 11 years) and still have no product. I'm having doubts about you's guys…
