Where is the Firewall Application Rules Page in AVG 2017 Unlimited

Me too! I logged this question weeks ago and was advised that the Firewall Application Rules Page would be included (re-instated) in the next upgrade. Nothing seems to have happened.  Why would this essential feature be removed?

Please put the Application Rule Page page back in the next version. The program has very little value without it.

Thank you for letting us know the status. It seems that you have latest version 17.8 of AVG Internet Security installed. In version 17.7 we had a down arrow at the right corner of each component. It seems that it was removed in the latest version, that is where the confusion happened. We appreciate your time and co-operation in bringing this to our concern.

From the help text, it seems to suggest that there IS an application rules page.  Has this been resolved?  If so, where do I find it?  How do we access it?

Hello Joey,
We apologize for the inconvenience caused. Unfortunately we're unable to open the link. Could you attach a screenshot http://avgread.me/1aZxsAV of the menu option your are referring to?
Thank you.

Joey's question is very clear and all the links work fine. The answer given does not help.  We are trying to block apps, not ip addresses.  Why was this removed?  I'm sure it wasn't just a mistake. I have the trial version and will not be makng any purchases until this is changed.  Ill prob find different software by the time that happens though as its now august and still no application rules page.

Where do I find the page referenced in this menu option? http://i.imgur.com/IcVZzmv.png

PRIOR versions of AVG had this rather easy to use interface as this: https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=Allow-application-in-AVG-Firewall . But the new version of 2017 Unlimited seems VERY LIMITED in custom options.

Please put the Application Rule Page page back in the next version. The program has very little value without it.

The answer is to look at components then click on the words "Enhanced Firewall" to see additional options include access log and application rules.

AVG: this is very difficult to find! Please make these options easier to find in the future!

Hello Chris,

To access Application Rule, please follow the below steps.

1. Open AVG Internet security- Menu- Components- Click on the drop-down (down-pointing triangle or plain area) arrow next to customize Firewall (Do not click Customize option).
2. You will see "Application Rules" at the bottom.
3. Select the publisher name of the program under which you will find the Application/Program name.
4. Next, to the Application/ program name, you will be able to see the sensitivity bar which you need to select the lowest bar to block the Internet access of particular program.

If you need any assistance, please let me know to assist further.

It would seem one end of AVG support does not know what it is doing!

Anyhow, There is NO arrow next to the  Enhanced Firewall entry (under Components) to indicate that this section expands to show you more advanced settings, such as the Application Rules !

You just have to click ANYWHERE in the Enhanced Firewall ROW (Yes the grey area!) and it expands to show the additional settings such as  "Uninstall Component" , "Network Connections" "Enhanced Firewall Logs" and also "APPLICATION RULES".

Bit sad when your customers have to explain it to the rest of the AVG community.

Hello David,

Thank you for your feedback, I will forward this to the concern team to fix it.
