I recently found many useful information in your site especially this blog site. Among the many comments on your post. This worked great…repaired my problem and then had 3 updates and was able to then scan my pc.

I miss the old AVG version, where I could drop directly a file, in a window, to have it analysed. Drag & drop simplicity. It's so boring to open AVG, and then "Scan Mac - File Scan - choose a file" . Is it like that with Windows ? Or at least please, do create a right-click menu with the scan option, when I point to a file. Thanks.
Good morning Karthikeyan,
In fact, under Mac, there is a possibility… I managed to get a right-click (since my msg) through System Preferences - Keyboard - Shortcuts - Services - Scan with AVG. Unfortunately, you have to uncheck several other services, to make it handy. Drag and drop was a better solution. Anyway, if a right-click option is added in a next version, I'll appreciate… Other users too, I guess.
Have a nice day.
