Why AVG is so abusive lately ? (daily popups to update)

Hello Ovidiu,
We are sorry to hear that from you. We apologize for the inconvenience caused. The pop-ups may be from the 'trial' version of AVG programs which have expired. To resolve the issue, I suggest you to remove AVG traces using remover tool( http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe ). Please restart to complete the uninstalling process. After running AVG Remover, you may need to manually uninstall/delete any remaining AVG applications from 'Control panel' and also 'search' for a folder "AVG Remover"(usually in 'C' drive) and please delete it manually. And then I request you to install AVG Antivirus Free (http://files-download.avg.com/inst/mp/AVG_Antivirus_Free_692.exe). Please follow these instructions and let us know the status. Thank you.

What kind of idiotic answer is this from Rajarajan and Gulam. I know that you work in an office in India for AVG but come on please, we all know this new popup can not be removed on the free version . When we click No Thanks , we expect the popup to go away !!    Which idiot decided it was a business decition to make this popup  ?
I am pretty sure that the creator of AVG , Jan Gritzbach would be very unhappy to what happened to AVG security these days .  You make a lot of stupid business decisions to try to earn more money , but what do you get ?  Unhappy customers , changing the software that are supposed to protect our computer and important documents .

No thanks , Luckily Windows 8 or Windows 10 do not have a lot of virus infections , we can use other free programs like Windows defender.
We don't need AVG anymore , that is my business solution . Thank you for 20 years  ,I started in 1995 with AVG .   Bye bye.

Hello,

I used AVG for more than 6 - 7 years, I'm ok with the free version also recomand it to others as it just works …

But lately AVG is so abusive, I will soon uninstall if those popups won't stop, as I see that popup every day, I tried pressing NO THANKS and also tried to close the window, no matter what I do the popup shows again next day. On my laptop I tried to install what it wants as the message wasn't clear if it's a normal update or update to payed subscription, and AVG guys thinked that if hiding the fact they will install the trial version, untill it finished installing,  will help them make me pay ? Such a big mistake, it only makes us angry !!! And now I'm very close to uninstall and chose another software.

I'm the only one who sees those popups daily ???

Ovidiu, Have a look @ this AVG article (http://www.avg.com/ww-en/product-feedback) & please submit feedback.

Hi, I wrote in my first message that I use AVG Free, I have no trial edition installed ... the pop-up I'm telling you about want's to make me to install the trial edition .. unbelivable how an answer like yours came from the AVG represetatives, also noticed another thread about this exact same probem and AVG represetatives asked guys to install an utility to scan the PC or check for errors WTF ??? This is no error, is AVG trying to make free users to buy a licencese, but this method wil not succsed because you only piss users off and at most you make them uninstall the AVG antivirus!!!
