I seriously think AVAST has purposely made this software more infuriating to try and push people over to them since the purchase of AVG by them. The latest feature I have noticed is that you can no longer add anything to an AVG exception from the popup window when a threat is detected. I was in the process of restoring a customer's website from backup and while attempting to test the page, I am blocked by AVG for phishing, which was true over a week ago but the site was restored last wednesday. So not only has the ruleset not been properly updated, but AVG completely kills the tcp connection to the site and has no option from the popup to add it to an exception list, I have to go in and spend 20 minutes trying to find it in the horrible AVG settings layout. Why does this software continue to lose basic functionality and increase frustrating component layouts every time there is an update. How do you still have customers?
