Why do I have to manually do a virus scan...I have the paid version and last month I had updates

I understand your concern. Please do not worry, the AVG Virus scan and updates will be done automatically in your computer. Since the AVG program shows as basic version, you can follow the below steps to get activate AVG Internet Security in your computer:

Please open the AVG Zen interface and at the top right corner, you can either see your email address or connect option, please click on your email address and select "Leave the Network" and sign in back to your AVG MyAccount. Or if you see "Connect" option, please click on the same and sign in to your AVG MyAccount. After you sign in to your account, please check if the AVG program gets activated.

Why do I have to manually scan my computer with the updates done last month…before this update my computer was scheduled to do updates and scan at a time I selected NOW it is appearing as if I have the FREE version…very disappointed with AVG this time I WONT be re-subscribing next time
