Why do I keep getting urged to BUY BUY BUY......?

That was my point… you CAN'T control the frequency.  It's bogus.  No matter what I set the timing to, it defaults to 30 seconds to 1 minute randomly.  There is not 0, 5 or 10 second settings.  In another post you said "watch for future updates".  That's the same story I got for version 15 and 16.  I'm still waiting.  I completely understand advertising in free versions.  What I can't stand is the blatant lying that something can be done about it.  And I'd never pay for this product and tolerate the pop-ups - NEVER in a paid version.

I SIMPLY WANT THE PROTECTION I CURRENTLY HAVE     - I used to have AVG FREE but since I am buying protection I am annoyed that I keep getting emails to buy more…
And I do not want protection for 'other devices'…
Please explain.

Hello Haw,
We regret for the inconvenience caused. We can control the frequency of campaign pop ups in AVG 2017 version by following the below steps:
1. Click the “Menu” button at the top right corner of the AVG Antivirus window and select “Settings”.
2. AVG displays regular popup notifications, expand the “Popups” section.
3. You can set different duration for information, update, warning, and alert popups.
For example, you may want to disable info and update popups by setting them to “0” .
