Why does AVG 2015 free when it updating cause slowness to my computer

It working great now since I did delete temporary update files. Wish there was a option to delete temporary update files automatlly.

why does AVG 2015 free  when it updating cause slowness to my computer. 
I notice it uses a lot of system memory when doing the updating. In Windows Task Manager: avgcsvx.exe Pid:800 Mem usage: 47,632k  I have Windows Xp.
