Thank you.
I been running Kaspersky Internet Security 2016 and was just about to pay for a year subscription, every thing was fine up until today when I got infected, spent all day long trying to clean my system using Hiren, various free anti viruses, Malwarebytes, SuperAntispy, Rootkill cleaners etc with no success. Figured I better start changing my password's on a clean machine since I may have a stubborn trojan, so started my Chromebook and had the same problem with it opening tabs to suspicious websites. Now I know its Chrome thats infected specifically an extension according to Chrome support, long story short, the Kaspersky extention was infected.
I after I finally fixed my system by uninstalling the extension and Kaspersky suite (didn't want to chance if the security suite was infected too) downloaded AVG since it's been used before by me. Install the AVG extension to Chrome and find out it forces you to use their search engine (which is Yahoo) and you can't change it in settings. That's just crazy no way I'm going to pay for a program that makes me use a search engine I have not used since the year 2000.
