Why does avg free disable/delete atube catcher even when it is on the safe list

I have been using AVG Free and aTube catcher for several years and never had a problem. Recently I went to use aTube catcher and the icon wasn't there. When I tried to reinstall it AVG said it was a threat so I took the option to place it on the safe list. It still would not install until I temporarily disabled AVG. But when AVG was enabled again it tossed aTube catcher again. What do I need to do to fix this issue?
