I have exactly the same problem. Some IMHttpComm.dll file was removed by AVG and now I cannot open Incredimail anymore.  Everytime I try to download Incredimail again AVG tells me its a virus or Malware. What to do???  I am not seeing any response to the question on top…you are referring to an article…does this mean that Incredimail is being blocked by mistake??? would like to know if its safe or not to take the file out of the vault. Thank you

We are having the same problem.

This is a very serious matter.  We expect a prompt resolution!

My only consolation at this time is that it isn't my computer but seems to be a serious mistake on the part of AVG not being able to distinguish between a company name and a similarily named viurs.  If all is lost on this computer, hopefully AVG will fix things and I can get my info off of my laptap.  Meanwhile, glad I didn't try to open it on the laptop, it would have been lost there also.

Hi all,
Please refer to this article (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=IncrediMail-files-detected-as-trojan-horse-MalSign-Perion-BSA-or-MalSign-Generic-834).
Thanks

Why did AVG associate my email for virus ?I have  Incredimail from Perion Network Ltd, and AVG just know removed the exe.file so now i cant start Incredimail. What to do ?

Is AVG not so sensitive that it cant separete a company  namne from a virus with the same name ?

If you trust Incredimail, it is possible to set AVG so that it won't remove threats without asking you, then restore files from the virus vault. Nobody has provided much information about the detection but my guess is that it is by Resident Shield (a.k.a. Computer Protection). There's a similar setting for Scan Whole Computer. If the same file is detected again, do not select "Protect me." Clusters of false positives sometimes occur following a database update. However I do not use Incredimail and cannot vouch for its trustworthiness.
