Why does AVG think this is ok?

Every hour I get a stupid "get full protection" pop up that takes control of the pc. It minimizes what I am doing no matter what. There is no option to turn them off either, are the developers of AVG really this inept? 
I use the free version just for back up protection of stuff I miss my self, which isnt much considering I haven't had a pc virus since 2006 aside from this pop up your company has decided to force. 
I DONT NEED YOUR FULL PROTECTION SO LET US TURN THAT PC HIJACKING ADVERT OFF. Use your brains for once in your life AVG devs.
