Why does my computer freeze every time I run a Whole Computer Scan?

Thomas, In order to analyze your issue please provide AVG experts with diagnostic output using this tool (http://www.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_SysInfo.exe).

Each time I tried to run the diagnostic it never finishes.  It has been running this time for over three hours.  All is says is "Work in Progress,"  Should it take that long?

Every time since mid April every time I try to run a Whole Computer Scan my computer will freeze up when the scan reaches 19%.  The only way to recover is to shut the computer down and restart.  Could thin be a virus preventing AVG from scanning.  When it does freeze up it says two threats have been detected.

Hi Thomas,

No, it should'nt.
Please try provide us with GMER (http://kb.avg.com/articles/en_US/How_to/GMER-Scan-Result/) and MSinfo output (http://forums.avg.com/ww-en/avg-free-forum?sec=thread&act=show&id=144057).

Thanks
