Hi Ken,
Unfortunately no security solution can provide with 100% detection rate.
If you have access to any suspicious files, we would like to kindly ask you to provide us with them as described here (http://http://kb.avg.com/articles/en_US/How_to/How-to-report-a-false-incorrect-detection/).
Thanks
Too late now - problem solved at great expense due to AVG failure! AVG should specifiy it's limitations before users get attacked by something outside of its capabilities. I foolishly believed its excessive promotional claims for protection.
I have AVG pro installed (fully up-to-date) and I run a scan regularly. I also run Spybot S&D as a secondary security measure. In spite of that, my PC was hijacked by a browser highjacker and AVG failed me! I'm bitterly disappointed and will be reconsidering what to use in future when renewal time arrives.
Cost me a lot of time and money to get the machine cleaned up, BTW.
