Hi all,
As Alan already said it is just platform change. You can discuss all here (Btw we do have now even General discussion).
Thanks
You can see budget cuts effect getting help almost right away. I agree the concept behind a forum is instant feedback, but that means folks have to be on line in the specific board you are. I seriously doubt that is going to happen very often. That takes techs watching the forum 24/7 and that isn't going to be in the budget.
When you remove the ability for users to communicate directly with each other, you are no longer a forum. You simply have yet another wall to dig through to HOPEFULLY find an answer to your problem. Your techs at AVG either are not paid enough or there are not enough of them or they don't know what they're doing because it takes forever to get help, and when you get it from AVG, often times … it does not even RELATE to what you asked! A form answer, like a form letter, is issued. I've seen this happen with other online companies and it's NOT good for your business. It won't take long before consumers start up webpages like "SCAMMED BY AVG" … trust me, I'll strt one myself if you remove the ability of AVG users to communicte with EACH OTHER about ANYTHING relating to AVG products.
We often wait weeks as it is to get any help at all, and often it's incorrect info, but it sure didn' take but a few minutes for you to take our money.
Seems we can communicate Terry, give it some time to see how it goes;)
