Why is my credit card being charged by digital river/AVG?

I discovered this charge on my credit card account which is not authorized:

Transaction Date: Nov 16, 2020
Merchant Name: DRI*AVG TECHNOLOGIES
Merchant Category: Retail Purchases
Merchant City: 844-259-8811
Merchant State: MN
Merchant Zip: 55343
Merchant Country: US

I have notified my CC provider that this is a bogus charge.  How can it be prevented in the future?
