Ever since I renewed my AVG a month ago, my computer has not worked right. I let an AVG "Tech"? access my computer to help me install my new product (I GAVE HIM PERMISSION TO INSTALL AVG)
All of a sudden without asking. The "Tech"? was jumping all over my screen clicking and deleting files and when he clicked finally restart my computer shut down and now EVERY TIME MY COMPUTER REBOOTS the screen freezes on the boot up screen (BEFORE WINDOWS) And I have to click F2 to go into my boot up / CMOS settings. click escape and exit without saving.
occasionally it goes into windows and other times it keeps repeating the same reboot sequence untill I power off and back on again then the F2 / Escape thing finally works.
As far as my (NEW) AVG Since the install completed it keeps giving me UPDATE FAILED every time I try to update. I had to go to the AVG website, download the update to my computer and then click update from directory...After a month I finally got my update but now I have an error on LINK SCANNER and it says it needs an update but there is no update available....
I WISH PEOPLE WOULD LEAVE A WORKING PRODUCT ALONE!!! I HATE THE NEW 2016 AVG ~ IT ACTS LIKE A VIRUS ITSELF ~ AND WHAT EVER YOU DO....
DO NOT LET AN AVG "TECH"? ACCESS YOUR COMPUTER!!! MY COMPUTER WORKED PERFECT UNTIL I LET AN AVG "TECH"? ACCESS IT NOW I HATE MY COMPUTER TOO.
THEY TOLD ME I HAD TO CONTACT MICROSOFT OR THE CPU MANUFACTURER TO FIX THE PROBLEM THAT THEIR "TECH"? CREATED. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT!
I'M AT MY WITS END AND AM GOING TO COMPLAIN TO PAYPAL AND EVERYONE ELSE ABOUT AVG RUINING MY COMPUTER.
I LIKED AVG FOR IT'S FORMER SIMPLICITY, ~ OUT OF SIGHT OUT OF MIND ~ NOW IT'S JUST IN YOUR FACE AND IN THE WAY LIKE ALL OTHER VIRUS PROGRAMS!
