Why is toolbar forced upon us?

thanks for that Alan. I filled it in but I'd still like an answer from AVG on why they have taken this step in forcing stuff on us

Hi Paul,
There should be always option(may not be as clear as install, but should be there) to not install it.

Please provide us with screenshot (http://kb.avg.com/articles/en_US/How_to/How-to-create-a-screenshot/) if it happens again.

It (the toolbar) installed with yesterday's update with no options or questions asked, if thats not the way it was meant to be programmed, then I suggest someone look into it.

Why has AVG, a previously great company, joined the ranks of all the other crap companies out there and started forcing a toolbar upon us?
I hate toolbars and I dont like it when I am duped into installling one by being told a new update is available.

If we users had every toolbar running that was forced on us we would have a very slow running computer and a very small window inn our browser to actuall view websites.

Come on AVG, have some decency and give us the option to install or not install your toolbar. 
Three times now I have had to install it and three times I have immediatly removed it.
Things like this makes me want to try other companies products, companies that dont force
unwanted programs upon me.
