Why were all my files converted to READ ONLY after the latest upgrade?

Turn off your AVG Internet Security:

Go to the system tray on the bottom right corner of your desktop -> Click on the AVG icon and turn off the AVG protection.

Then try to access the files again.

Very frustrating!!! All my existing files on my laptop were converted to READ ONLY since the latest upgrade. I cannot save any changes to my files, or create any new ones that aren't READ ONLY.
