WiFi Acces Blocked

Dinesh,
Thanks for your help.
1. I was able to temporarily disable AVG from your instructions.
2. I then turned Network to Airplane mode and then manually back to Wifi.
3. Unfortunately my Wifi router was not found. I then ran the network troubleshooter again but result was "networks that I had used are not in range".
4. I'm using my IPhone as a personal hotspot via usb cable to the PC and the Iphone still finds the wifi router.
5. I found the Networks listed under Firewall in AVG.

Here I have a problem.
There are a number of Networks shown.
I need your advice as to which one/s should be "trusted".
The network with the Wifi router name (internet provider's code) is "trusted".
There is a network with the PC adapter name which is "untrusted".

When I switch it to "trusted" it reverts automatically back to "untrusted" immediately.
There is a network with the PC name which is also "trusted".
Local Area Network is "untrusted" and will not change.
6. Reseting the router and restarting the computer nemerous times still fail to find the wifi.

Hi Sreenu,
Thank you for your reply.
1. When I right click the AVG icon in the task bar I get the AVG Icon stacked above únpin from task bar'.  There is no slide to turn AVG off.
2. I have build 21.11.3215. Problem seemed to start after build 21.10.3215.
3. I cannot find the path" AVG - Menu - Settings - Full protection - Enhanced Firewall - Enable Internet connection sharing".  My Enhanced Firewall is under Basic Protection and Ällow Internet Connection Sharing" appears to be on.
4. I cannot find "Network Profile" under Basic Protection or Full Protection and I haven't found "System Rules". Would they be elsewhere under my build?
5. I turned off all AVG elements individually in Basic and Full Protections and tested for the Wifi Connection without success.
6. Restarting the computer brought AVG back on in all elements but still no Wifi.

Hello Frank,

We are sorry to know this.
We will certainly check and help you with this issue.
Please disable AVG temporarily as mentioned here (https://bit.ly/3pWm40x) and check your internet connection. Keep us posted about the progress.
Also make sure that you configured the firewall settings as recommended and check.
To do so, open AVG - Menu - Settings - Full protection - Enhanced Firewall - Enable Internet connection sharing.
Additionally, click on network profile that is available in the same page and mark it as 'Private' and select 'System rules', enable all the tasks.
Thank you and please keep us updated.

I've lost internet connection since the last update.
My router is ok and NBN connections are ok.
My IPhone-with AVG installed still finds the WiFi connection but not the PC.
I'm on Windows 10.
I have read some past help and have run the troubleshooter and have restarted the PC and router several times with no success.
Suggestions please.

I forgot to mention that your link to 'Add trusted & untrusted networks' in this article does not work as the site is under maintenance.

Appreciate your efforts in working towards fixing the issue, Frank.
To disable AVG protection temporarily, you need to close the AVG program & then right click on AVG icon in system tray (at bottom right corner, near date & time) - click on the toggle bar beside protection to disable it temporarily. If required, you can also check this article which has the steps & screenshots.
Regarding firewall settings, please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused. You can find them in the latest version by following these steps : Open AVG Internet Security - Web & email - Open Firewall - Below networks tab - find your network & trust the network. For pictorial representation, check the steps mentioned below 'Add trusted & untrusted networks' in this article
Tip : You can try connecting your computer to the specific network & then trust it.

Re Case No. 14638797. This case was closed without a resolution to lost Wifi connection.
I realised later that a full reboot had not been done after AVG had been uninstalled and then reinstalled.
The PC was turned off, including stand by power supply, and on restart the Wfi Network was found and connection restablished.
Problem solved.
