Wont that mean my computer will have no protection. The internet works fine via the ethernet cable its the wifi that drops. Is it likely that avg could intefere?
I'm running AVG on my desktop with Windows 7. Myinternet is connected via an ethernet cable from a wireless modem to my desktop. My wifi keeps dropping off. I have recently replaced the modem and all the line filters.I have changed the channel on my wireless setup to help with interference form the neighbours. What I'd like help with is whether its possible that the AVG is interfering with the wifi.
Would the firewall setting cause this?

Sue, What Kishore (AVG Technologies) is attempting to ascertain is if AVG is the culprit. Disable AVG (http://avgclick.me/TempDisableAVG) & see if the issue is corrected.
