Win 11 LAptop new, outlook will not set up gmail

I recently purchased a new Win 11 laptop. I instyalled Office 365 and AVG's full suite of apps. I cannot add my gmail to my outlook as it keeps stating the ost caould not be created after waiting a long time for gmail to reply. I believe from my research that AVG is causing the issue, but do not know how to fix it.
Any help is apprecisted.
