It’s regrettable that this has happened, let's have a look at it together. Are you using AVG Antivirus Free version? Could you share the screenshot https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=How-to-create-a-screenshot&supportType=home of that detection message with full path?
Have you tried to restore the file from Quarantine as suggested here: http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Using-the-AVG-Quarantine ?

I have inserted a pen drive (which has a very very important file) and AVG blocked the access to this unique folder, indicating this virus "Win32:Malware-gen". Think that AVG exclude the file or repaired. I do not know what happened. Thing is that I can´t access the pen drive anymore because pops up a message informing the folder is corrupted and I really need the file recovered, it is really really important and have no copy of that. What/How should I proceed with this pen drive?
