Hello, Bryan
Please do not worry, I will help you in this.
Could you share the screenshot of AVG threat detection message?
You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
I have, for the first time, generated an .exe file from a Python programme using pkinstaller. AVG said that it had detected Win32:Malware-Gen in the exe file and quarantined it. Is this a false positive? Don't see how a virus could have got there.
Thanks Avanish and Rakshith Rajkumar. It seems I'll have to take my own word for it.
Hi Bryan.
AVG will detect an application or an exe file as threat if it does not have a verified digital signature.
If you are sure that the file is safe, please add it to AVG exceptions as described in this link.
