Hi everyone,
My computer is currently is getting several hundred pop ups an hour from something that looks like AVG antivirus. It is saying that there is a "Win:32Malware-gen" in a file on my computer, which I cannot delete the file. The malware is currently located in an Alienware Command Centre.exe file, under an Alienware program that was downloaded in March this year, which I don't remember downloading. As far as I am aware, I don't have any Alienware devices, so this is strange.
When I go into task manager on my PC, there is something that looks like the real AVG application, and then there is also another AVG application which I think is fake, and I can't end the task on the fake looking application. I think it is fake, as it does not have the AVG logo next to the application, whereas the real one does. The real AVG, and another antivirus (McAfee), are saying that there are no viruses on the computer, however I think this is inaccurate, as when I have researched this "Win:32Malware-gen", quite a few people seem to have gotten this, even though it doesn't come up on the real anti-virus protection.
I don't have a screenshot of what is being displayed on my computer, but I have attached a screenshot from another forum post, which is representative of my issue.
I have turned off the PC for the moment to prevent any further damage, so can you please tell me how you can help?
Hope to hear from you soon,
Adam

Im getting this same alert. Except for the Alienware command center file and another one. But they keep flagging infinitely.
