The browser across the home network is Int Explorer. I did have trouble accessing Internet Explorer for the user in question. I finally got IE to be accessable and it is this user ID that I can't get AVG as the home page. I suppose it is no big deal but we all prefer AVG search to Bing or Google. None of us 'play' on the computer and AVG search brings up serious sites rather than 'popular' as on the other two.
I do have Firefox installed for this user but now that IE is available I can delete it if this might be causing issues. I will appreciate any help you can give. Annie

I am the administrator of a home group. 3 or 4 users have AVG as home page. The 4th has Bing. When trying to change this user to AVG the above error comes up. Then the following: Please confirm your new default homepage settings.The default homepage settings control your homepage on your browser. Homepage protection is a feature of the AVG SafeGuard toolbar that detects attempts to change your homepage. Please confirm the change to your default homepage below.
- Keep AVG Secure Search as my default homepage.
- Change my default homepage and disable my homepage protection.

Do you have the Internet Explorer as your default web browser?
Please try installing AVG Secure Search add-on using this link: http://download-toolbar.avg.com/partners/common/AVG%20Secure%20Search.exe on your Internet Explorer and let us know the status of it.
