There are numerous reports of 1803 failing (diagnostic is desktop missing); all usual recovery options then fail, resulting in the only option to re-install fromWin 10 media. (http://www.cgtechworld.com/)
It's a shame that you don't provide a solution for this issue. I can't admit that the only solution you propose is a reinstall of windows. Please explain us how to recover the failed upgrade.
Hello, Robert.
Our developers are aware of this but could not find any compatibility issue with the Microsoft update and AVG/Avast Anti Virus. Are you experiencing this issue on your PC?
I have the same problem when updating my windows 10 1803 there is no offer to manage saved passwords in Microsoft edge (https://rememberpasswordsinmicrosoftedge.net/) and I want to save the password than my friend suggest the website and I am now able to save my password in it.

It is alleged that there may be an issue with Windows 10 1803 upgrade with AVG/Avast. It is suggested if possible to uninstrall AVG/Avast before running 1803.

!803 failure has been reported many times since it was launched - thats a fact. It is conjecture as to the cause but Avast/AVG have been mentioned as a possibility.
Its its easier to re-install AVG/Avast than re-install Windows - you are warned.

Hello Philippe,
My apologies for any inconvenience caused. May I know what is the exact issue you're experiencing with AVG after Windows 10 1803 update? Are you able to reboot your computer in Normal/safe mode?
Regards,
Alok.

When we spoke to yr priority support on the phone this afternoon, they are clearly unaware of this issue. SInce there is no definitive facts as to the issue, it is importaant that your support desks are aware of the problem
