Windows 10 1903 & AVG Problem

AVG_Cear.exe and AVG_Remover.exe will not clear all instances of the AVG exe file, especially if it is hiding in the Google Drive folder on the laptop. In my case I removed it manually and the Windows 10, 1903 update installed. Do a search of the C: drive and other drives on your laptop for AVGui.exe and find all AVG exe files

Okay from what I can see their is a new tamper setting and I tried that, but still Defender has total control over my PC.

Here is what I have found out.

How To Disable Windows Defender In Windows 10

I got slapped with the new Windows 10 1903, and sence it keeps all defender stuff on and I cannot enable AVG. I click turn on Firewall and Anti Virus and it does nothing.

I know it's using Windows Defender because it's asking me for permissions for the apps.

How can I disable Windows Defender and Allow AVG instead ???

That's great, Mike. We appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue.

Yes, we have modified/upgraded our AVG Internet Security and AVG Tuneup in new version.

Make sure that you have installed AVG Ultimate as suggested in below articles.
AVG Internet Security: https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-Protection
AVG Tuneup: https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Install-TuneUp

You can find the activation code under your AVG MyAccount page.

How To Disable Windows Defender In Windows 10

Okay I had to go into safe mode and use the cleaner tool, finally it got rid of everything, but now the version of tuneup utilities look very different then the one I had previously.

Now its very odd, you have sliding windows and I cant seem to find the settings for it. Only 4 options? Was this upgraded?

The other had like 5 options and everything was in a seperate page.
