Thank you for what looked like a simple solution, but unfortunately it didn't work.
AVGRemover downloaded ok but did not detect AVG Protection. It found only AVG Zen. So I asked it to uninstall Zen. That was ok. I then downloaded the 64-bit version which failed to instal giving the same error code as last time.More help please
I pay for AVG PC TuneUp and have recently got a new laptop running Windows 10. I installed TuneUp alongside the free 30-day McAfee Antivirus which came preloaded on the PC. This free trial has come to an end so I have uninstalled McAfee (using the uninstall link on one of your help pages) and tried to instal AVG Antivirus Free to complement my TuneUp. Every time (now about 10 times), the installation has failed with an error code 0xC0070643 Event exec_finished. I have now uninstalled AVC PC TuneUp to see if it was stopping the AVG Antivirus Free loading properly.
HELP PLEASE! I now have a new PC with no antivirus protection which needs fixing for obvious reasons.
I run Mozilla Firefox as a browser.
Please help!
