Windows 10 download blocked as infected Blacklist

Pretty sure my details gives the same info, but I tried it in Chrome, Firefox, and just for giggles Edge. AVG support- I already updated my AVG and rebooted three times. I'm not near that computer until 8 hours from now, so I can't get the screenshot.

Hello Kelly,

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. We will check and help you to resolve it. Please share us the screenshot of the block message from AVG.

Also, confirm the version of AVG program installed in it.

I tried downloading Window 10 from the Microsoft downloads page and AVG is blocking it as "infected" with Blacklist, which generally means that AVG added the website to the block list for some reason. While I can go in an add an exception, I just wanted to ask why as I didn't block it, it seems to be an AVG thing.

I think you misread my response Delli Ganesh, the issue is resolved. I only posted again for the benefit of the community to explain my experience and suggest that the possible, eventual solution was something in the updates, but also that something was between the various systems needing a refresh that came in time. You may consider this ticket closed.

I received the same message today trying to download … here is the screenshot

@ Support. Your excessive, but ineffective apologies are accepted.

For anyone following along, somewhat inexplicitly, I now can download this file. I received no additional information in the email that was too personal to discuss here, only an offer to allow them to remote in and treat me like I treat my 80 yro mother's IT issues, with no respect for her computer comprehension (to my eternal, but necessary shame). I suspect that the updates somehow required more time to take effect (somewhere between 8 and 24 hours), but were ultimately responsible for the resolution. Or something akin to Murphy's law, that once you ask for help, you find that you've already found it. Hopefully, Tom Kotz found the same.
