Worked like a charm, looking forward to using this on all my new store bought machine setups. Thank you so much for your spot on answer this has been a very annoying problem.
Hello Steve,
Did you use McAfee removal tool and tried removing all of the components of McAfee OEM from your PC?
If not please try using that once and then check for the issue.

I have noticed a pervasive problem with AVG and AVAST free versions. When I install them on OEM machines (Dell, Lenovo, Toshiba etc) they cause windows 10 to fail to boot. At that point unless one has created a restore point you have to do a reset, very annoying. If the machine has been loaded with windows 10 from Microsoft (using version 1511) and doesn't have any bloatware or preinstallaed McCrappy then there is no issue. I have still not been able to find out what is causing this issue and appreciate any suggestions. I will try one I read here Disabling driver signature enforcement but that seemed like a flakey fix since people said they had to continue to do it over and over.
It seems like some sort of conspiracy between McCaffee and the OEMs to keep people from using AVG or AVAST.
