Hi Richard, I apologize for the inconvenience caused. Have you faced any issues while reinstalling AVG after upgrading your Operating System?
AVG Internet Security appears to have a conflict with Windows 10. On my first Windows 10 upgrade attempt (AVG Internet Security 2013 was installed at the time) I was unable to access the Start Menu and dialogue boxes showed garbled information when hovering the mouse over icons in Task Bar and System Tray. I reverted back to Windows 7, uninstalled AVG Internet Security 2013 (using AVG's removal tool) and reinstalled Windows 10. The installation appeared to be successful and I did not experience any of the problems noted above - the Start Menu worked and intelligible text appeared when hovering over icons. When I reinstalled AVG Internet Security 2015 the problems with the first installation came back. Has anyone else had this problem and/or have any suggestions?
Hello Richard. We certainly understand your concern. I have sent you an email where our experts would resolve this issue. Please feel free to contact us for any further assistance. Thank you.
Thanks, Aravind. I followed your suggestions but still have the same problems. After uninstalling AVG using the 64-bit remover tool (I noticed that it is a different version than the one I used the other day), I restarted my computer and checked Windows 10 to see if I could access the Start Menu - unfortunately, I couldn't. There is also still the problem with unintelligible characters in the boxes above icons. I decided to install AVG as you instructed to see if that made a difference. Again, it did not. Should I have re-installed or tried to repair Windows 10 before installing AVG again?
