Windows 10 keeps asking for their security protection. Do i need this in addition to the AVG antivir

It isn't recommended to have multiple protection program on the same computer.
They'll conflict with each other & none will work effectively.
However, as we're uncertain about the exact pop up that you receive, would you be so kind to share us the screenshot of it?
You can be rest assured that your computer would be protected against emerging threats & hackers with AVG Internet Security installed on it. Reason being, it has an active firewall.
