Good morning. I recently upgraded my Windows 7 PC to Windows 10 Pro with no issues.
I have both AVG AntiVirus and AVG TuneUp and have been using both for about 5 years with no issues.
A few days ago, my AVG TuneUp did an update and I only knew this because a new AVG TuneUp shortcut on my desktop. Not a big deal except that now my GarminExpress, Itunes, and DropBox no longer work. I have done full uninstalls and reinstalls of all three and the error remains which tells me that the registry is corrupted in some other way. I ran a deep scan of my PC and AVG found no issues. I was able to do a Windows restore to get my Office 365 apps back to working.
In addition, I have AVG TuneUp and AntiVirus on my girlfriend's Windows 7 machine and after the TuneUp update, I am seeing similar errors with her Office products on that machine. The only common thread between both machines is the AVG software.
The error that I see is "C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe". However, I can see the file in the directory and I get the same error when I click on the iTunes.exe file directly. Garmin and DropBox work similarly.
Any thoughts on what this issue might be?
Rich P.
