Hello, Mitch.
To help keep all Windows 10 systems secure and to provide the latest features and improvements, the Windows 10 Update Assistant downloads and starts the installation of the latest version of Windows 10. The Windows 10 Update Assistant will be deployed to Windows 10 PCs that have not yet had the latest update installed.
I'd request you to ignore the recommendation from AVG PC TuneUp.
PC TuneUp "Speed Up" repeatedly shows Windows 10 Update Assistant is slowing down my PC.
I use the "Sleep" option, but it just keeps coming back - strangely, this generally happens when I open or am using Microsoft Office Word.
Can someone please offer advice on this?
Thanks, Avinash
I will do as you suggest, but must point out that as far as I'm aware, I do have the latest version of Windows 10 (Version 1709) …
2018-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based Systems (KB4074588)
… was successfully installed on 14 February, 2018.
I appreciate that, Mitch.
If you have latest version, then please let it be. Open AVG PC Tuneup and go to speed up option -> choose ignore option next to Windows 10 Update Assistant.
