So I am still having the same issue. I have run both the Clear and Remover programs alternating between AVG Free and Security with both. . I have also searched for the exe. program to no avail. If it helps, I do have AVG Tune Up and Secure VPN paid programs on my computer at this time. Is that the issue and do I need to remove them then reinstall after I update Windows? The Windows 10 Setup window specifically says it is the AVG Anitvirus that is causing the issue.

Please let us know if you've used the remover tools of AVG to completely remove AVG files.
If not, follow the steps in this article to run AVG Remover & Clear to remove the traces of AVG.
If issue persists, search for avgui.exe on your computer & remove it.
Please try the above steps & let us know if it helps.
I have been trying to update the windows 10 but keep getting a message saying that I need to either update my free AVG anti-virus or uninstall. So, I uninstalled and it is nowhere on my computer. I am still getting the error message that AVG is not compatible and I need to manually uninstall. What's the solution here?
