Windows 10, Watchdog, AVG Internet Security crashing etc

Hello Michael,
We apologize for the inconvenience caused to you. Please note that the recent Windows Update KB3194496 has caused AVG scan to crash and reboots the PC. For this incompatibility we were suggesting our customers to uninstall that update alone and avoid reinstalling it automatically by disabling Windows updates temporarily.
And regarding the watchdog error, do you have AVG installed on your PC or not and if you have it, may we know what is the status of AVG program now?

Apologies in advance as I'm angry and frustrated! Despite what the AVG website says, in my experience AVG is not compatible with Windows 10. After several happy years with AVG I now can't run Internet Security because it crashes after a couple of minutes.  The last AVG update would not install either.  When I restart my PC the infamous 'Watchdog' black screen appears and Windows won't start. I've seen messages on boards from AVG to other users with what appear to be similar problems telling them to turn off automatic updates to Windows.  How is that 'compatible'?  I've just paid £40 to renew my AVG protection and it's now literally useless. What do I need to do before I ask for my money back. Thanks

Thanks for replying. I'll try your suggestion to stop the scan crashing but when will the temporary 'disable Windows updates' end? On the Watchdog black screen issue, I have AVG Internet Security installed and it's saying this…' Any suggestions on this?
