Right click on AVG icon under system tray next to clock, click on toggle bar to turn off your Protection temporarily and check with backup issue.
Hello, I am trying to backup my WINDOWS 7 PC and keep getting message " your backup did not successfully complete". I check everything else Is AVG my problem. If so how do I disable it knowing that the upgraded AVG does not have a feature to temporarily disable AVG…Lou

It seems AVG is not blocking the backup process on your PC. Please disable if you are using a 3rd party anti virus or firewall application and try the backup. If the issue persists, please contact your PC manufacturer support or Microsoft support for further assistance.

I turned off AVG and still get the same message. Do you have any other recommdations?
