Thank you.

No disrespect intended but if Microsoft Support could fix my problem I would already have it fixed. Two techs spent 3 hours of online chat working on it and then told me it was repaired and then quit. It still does not work. None of the quick fixes work. The Mr. Fixit app yields the error message 0x80070003.  That was the reason for my question.  Specifically the Mr. Fixit app found 4 errors. It repaired 3 of them but could not repair 0x80070003. There were some comments among all the suggestions that led me to believe that a thorough registry cleaning might solve the problem.  I thought someone in the AVG community might have encountered a similar problem and solved it with AVG PC Tuneup.  Tuneup did a terrific job on an old Dell Vostro 400 running Windows 7.  The macihine I am having a problem with is an 8 year old Dell Inspiron 1520 running Windows 7 and I don’t want to try Widows 10 on it.  However, right now, that looks like the only solution.
Thanks for your suggestion.

Does AVG PC Tuneup fix error 0x80070003? I have PC Tuneup on 2 machines. Naturally the error is on a third machine without PC Tuneup.
