Windows 7 WORD and Excel Programs Locked Out

We're glad to look into this & help you.
Please let us know what happens exactly while accessing Word, Excel files. Do you receive any error message?
If so, share us the screenshot of it for better clarity.

I have AVG Tuneup which I suspect has some how (with me pressing buttons) locked out these programs so I cannot access Word documents and spreadsheets.  Any ideas please?

Dinesh, it's not your fault. The new TuneUp update has messed everybody. We're waiting for an update.

John, if you're receiving the message as 'Windows cannot find the specified path', then it is an issue caused by the impact of the latest version of AVG TuneUp. The fix was released shortly & reinstalling AVG TuneUp will fix the issue. Furthermore, there will be no data loss. Also, we've kept track of customers reported the concern & we've been following up with them via email.  Thank you for your understanding in advance!
