This only happens when I have AVG IS 2015 installed on Windows 8.1.  I have tried with a clean install and only the admin account.  Performed AVG install before adding users.  The system worked flawlessly until I added family members.  It still works fine for my log in, but kids get a kernel error after the log in.  Not sure I need much help because I will be going to Windows 10 when available, but would like it to work.
