I've upgraded to Win 8.1 on one of my laptops that has AVG Internet Security installed. I've been prompted to uninstall and reinstall AVG but the uninstall fails. Now I am also regularly getting an extremely irritating restart prompt, which I can't get rid of.

I've emailed AVG twice about this and got no answer. Is there a solution?  And if Internet Security 2014 is not compatible with Win 8.1, I would like a refund on one licence - please tell me how to go about organising this. As I will need to buy another product to protect that laptop.  Thanks.
