I understand the inconvenience. Windows Defender is a solid antivirus app that comes built into Windows 7, 8, and 10. Please refer this article https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/15788/how-to-uninstall-disable-and-remove-windows-defender.-also-how-turn-it-off/ to disable Windows defender program. Also, open AVG Internet Security and check if everything is active and protected.

Until December 2017, I had the AVG anti virus. Today, 5.january, I suddenly experienced that I now have Windows defender as an anti virus program. I have never asked for Windows defender, and my AVG is valid to april 2021. How can i remove the Windows defender, and get my AVG back? The AVG-button is just "dead", and I can't find and unistall the Windows defender app.
