Windows installation upgrade files

Hello David,

AVG will not remove files named with Windows. I recommend you to contact Microsoft to remove that folder. Thank you for your understanding.
I have tried many, many times to delete the file $WINDOWS.~BT (10.7 GB) without sucess. AVG File Shredder, Disk Cleanup and AVG Tuneup will not work . Please help me to delete this very large, unwanted and un-ask for for file.

You can do this through microsoft disk cleanup. Just type disk cleanup in the start menu. Once it comes up, select your (C:) drive and hit ok. Once it runs, select the box that says "Clean up system files" in the bottom left of the program. It will once again scan for things it can clean up. Next, deselect all the boxes offered but select "Windows Update Cleanup" and select ok. This will remove the folder you are trying to delete, as it contains a backup of your operating system prior to running windows update. This folder is also automatically deleted 10 days after a anniversary update or 30 days after a normal montly windows update if you would just like to wait it out.
