Hi Fraser,
We aren't certain with the exact issue.
How do you suspect that AVG is causing the issue?
Can you confirm whether the Anti spam component has been enabled in your AVG?
Hello,
I cant confirm AVG is causing the issue, that's why Im asking if there are reported instances of AVG interfering negatively with Windows Live Mail 2012. I have seen numerous counts of AVG's plug-in causing this fault with its Outlook plug-in… so I thought I would ask about this.
Email anti-virus scanning is enabled, I dont believe anti-spam is, but I cant be sure as I cant get to his computer right now. The emails were received in the inbox and readable… and then sometime with a 24 hour period, the individual files containing the information contained in the body completely disappeared, leaving the headers untouched.
I am troubleshooting an issue for a neighbour with their Windows Live Mail 2012 on Windows 10… He is also running a full, paid for, updated/current version AVG protection suite.
His issue with WLM is the body files of some emails have disappeared. The headers are there, but random emails have had the bodies deleted from the hard drive. I have seen similar issues reported with AVGs Outlook plugins… is there any history of AVGs email or virus protection deleting email bodies? I have checked the AVG quarantine and theres nothing shown there. I cant seem to find any logs in the AVG menu system.
