Windows Start menu not working after AVG Installation

Hello William,
What happened is really unfortunate, there is no such conflict with AVG. However, may I know if you have installed paid/trial AVG Internet Security/AVG Free Antivirus and check if you have installed AVG PC TuneUp (control panel > program and features or you can press Windows Logo+R: Run dialog box and type appwiz.cpl to see your all installed programs) on your computer.

After I installed AVG Internet Security and AVG Protection, I was not able to use the windows 10 search box and the Windows Start Menu does not work.  Are there any known conflicts?
